I'm a multi-media artist from the Southwest who moved to the Northwest as soon as I could. I studied Ritual Theater with Great Masters at S.C.C.C and received my B.A. from The Evergreen State College. I started taking photographs when I was 15. I shoot my life. I shoot the present. Real moments in time on old 35's. I use a tripod, timers, and natural light. Mother in all of her forms has been my greatest muse. Earth, fire, water, air and spirit are my deepest inspirations.
This exhibit is an act of praise to the Great Mother of all Creation and in honor of my Grandmothers and Grandfathers, and All My Relations.
The installation is composed of photographs and an altar. The altar holds my personal collection of images and objects that deeply inform my work, representing memory, spirit, medicine and heart. The photographs were shot in a graveyard in Jerome and in the woods of Flagstaff, Arizona with sisters who share the same love for Mother as myself.
