The Cube, 8371 Northfield Blvd, the Master Community Association – Stapleton’s community center will be participating in MOP, exhibiting framed photographs with entries screened via email by Lin Clark: LinKClark@gmail.com. There are no restrictions on the type of photography accepted. All entries must be submitted by February 15th.

The opening of the exhibit will be on Wednesday, March 6th coinciding with a presentation by Mike Holtby on Storytelling with Photographs at 7pm. Holtby will be just returning from an assignment with the Jimmy Nelson Foundation, photographing the Hadzabe trip in Tanzania; one of the last hunter-gatherers whose population numbers just a few thousand. He will also show photos and video clips of his experience with the initiation of young men into the crocodile culture in Papua New Guinea. Holtby has traveled to forty-two countries and has focused his photography on indigenous cultures and wildlife.

Mike Holtby will be showing video slide shows of swimming with great white sharks, tea with Berber nomads, dodging elephants crashing and trumpeting towards us in the Chobe River, huge 1,000 pound Alaskan brown bears fishing at Brooks Falls, the 300 year old Pushkar Camel Market in India, the secret initiation of young men into the spirit house in Papua New Guinea, and more.
