Articular: An exploration in lenticular
and stereoscopic imagery
Anthony Camera and Andrew Novick
Opening March 1, 7-10pm
Photographers Anthony Camera and Andrew Novick each explore the possibilities and limits of 3D and flip-style autostereoscopic lenticulars as well as stereoscopic representations of the same images with View-Masters®. The lenticular technique involves looking at multiple interlaced images through a plastic lens which exploits subtle parallax viewing angles to see different images. It is interesting to examine this alternate form of photography because it is an in-person experience. In the age where most experiences are relayed to the world instantly through social media, this slows things down and requires viewing it in person.
Anthony and Andrew have been shaking up photography in Denver for many years. Anthony specializes in editorial and advertising photography. His work has appeared in Westword, 5280, The Denver Post and several national publications. He often does first Friday Portrait Parade photoshoots with passers-by. Andrew is a highly recreational photographer and is also a collector, filmmaker, former rock-star and proprietor of FUN.
