Clifford Hawkes, photographer, will be the featured artist for the month of March at the Artists on Santa Fe Gallery.

I will never forget the first time, in high school biology class, staring through the lens of a microscope, I saw the fantastic world that exists in a tiny drop of pond water. Ever since that day, I have been fascinated and mesmerized by water. It forever changed how I feel and approach the natural world. When I photograph nature and especially water, I am transported into a place of contemplation and peace.
