Long before digital photo manipulation there was a movement in the world of photography inspired by the idea of pushing photography further into the realm of art. The goal was to create an emotionally inspired image rather than just recording a scene true to life. Inspired by this we decided to make an exhibition using one of the techniques used in this movement: Gumoil Printing. It’s "modern" because we utilized digital printing to create our positives to be used in the traditional contact print method. But after that the rest is done as it was back in the late 1800’s.
