Stripped: Fractured Landscapes is a solo exhibition by Madeline Wilson. This exhibition features landscape photographs which were deconstructed, then reconstructed to create interrupted landscapes. The interrupted landscapes resemble our true perception of nature, fragmented by our inattention and by the mechanics of vision. The fractured images address variations on Chaos Theory and The Butterfly Effect – that our human footprint and our very presence changes the land. We can’t control the dynamic forces that are in constant movement, imperceptible geological changes that occur under our feet while sometimes leading to catastrophic events that get our attention. These ongoing, consistently repeating patterns occur in nature and provide the catalysts for interdependent growth and change.

Artworks Loveland is the largest nonprofit Studio Artist Community in Northern Colorado dedicated to advancing contemporary art and artists. We foster a collaborative studio environment supportive of the creative process. With a desirable framework of studio and gallery space, artists are free to work solo or to take advantage of collaborative opportunities. Artworks is proud to be an eclectic incubator that stands to shape the face and the future of Loveland.
